I was traveling all over the country for my job and I was using Mutual to go on dates wherever I was going. I was down to date, but what I really wanted was to find something real.
I went on a lot of dates with different girls and it never felt like it was a good fit. I connected with Stephanie using the Mutual app on the 15th of June in 2017, when I was visiting a friend in Idaho – and we started to chat.
We had a long distance relationship, skyped every night for about two months, while she was going to school in Idaho and I was working in North Carolina, and eventually had our first date in Salt Lake City, UT at the Salt Lake City LDS Temple.
We spent the entire weekend together and I even introduced her to my family.
After I flew back to my job in North Carolina, I spent the rest of the week thinking that I did not want to miss my chance with her.
I flew Stephanie out to North Carolina and we went on our second date – we spent some time in NC and then we drove back to Idaho together and visited cool sites along the way, almost a 40 hour drive that took us 2.5 days.
We got back to Idaho and I proposed that same week, about 3 months after meeting her, and 90% of that time being long-distance dating.
We set our wedding for October 13th, 2017 – it was a Friday, and it was one of the best days of our lives. We were married in the Logan, UT temple. On Apr 9th, 2020 – we welcomed our first child into the world, Ryker Thayne Reynolds.
Now the three of us live in Logan, UT and we love our lives.
I will be forever grateful that Mutual brought my wife and I together.
