Shawn and I went on our first date to my favorite Thai restaurant in December of 2017. We hit it off immediately and within a few hours I was completely smitten. We talked that night until 3am and I knew he was the one. We spent the next 3 days together (during finals ) and then we both left to go home for Christmas break. When we came back we spent every day together. We fell in love fast and got engaged in March. Shawn set up a scavenger hunt for me as his proposal. I went all over the city with my best friend as my guide. We visited places that were locations of our favorite moments we shared while dating. I was blindfolded at the last clue and led up Provo Canyon to a beautiful gazebo with lights all hung around. He got down on one knee and asked me to be his best friend for eternity. We got married 3 months later in the Salt Lake City Temple. I am so lucky he swiped up on me when the first line in my profile was “Looking for a guy who isn’t intimidated by an independent woman”. I can confidently say he isn’t and pushes me to achieve my goals and loves me everyday. We just celebrated our 1 year anniversary and couldn’t be happier. Thanks to Mutual I met my best friend.
