She is widowed and so am I. I was attracted to her and she lived nearby. That was a wonderful combination!

It was great! We went to lunch and it was apparent right away that there was a connection. I’d like to share our story with you.
My name is DJ. a year and a half ago my wife of 15 years died of complications from stage 4 breast cancer. We have 4 boys. She battled the cancer for 5 years. It was extremely difficult.
When I decided to start dating again, I was hopeful, but a part of me thought that since I already won the lottery once… how could I do it again? And if I did, how could I find someone who would understand me and my kids situation? It felt like an impossible task.
I began using mutual. After some time and many dates, I matched with Megan. We decided to go for lunch shortly after chatting. It turned out that it didn’t take long for us to realize that this was a divinely assisted meeting.
Megan has nearly the exact same life story as I do. She was married for 15 years (married 2 days after I was), her husband died of brain cancer; They have 4 kids, and he died nearly the same time that my wife did.
She is an amazing woman, with amazing kids, who understand my families unique situation. Not only do they understand it, but they can relate to it perfectly. It allows us to support each other in ways that no one else can.
We are engaged and will be getting married in November! We just closed on a new home together this week and will be moving in right after the wedding!
