Mutual Brand Ambassadors are people who genuinely love love. They’re people who are looking for their eternal companion and have found Mutual to be an effective tool to help them in their search. They like to tell their friends about what they love because they don’t want to gatekeep the things that make them happy. They are role models to their peers and advocate for the safety and well-being of their community.

What do Brand Ambassadors do?
As a Brand Ambassador, you’re kind of like a missionary for Mutual… except that you don’t have to live a specific schedule, you don’t have to knock on doors, you don’t have to wear church clothes, and you don’t have to leave home for two years. So actually, maybe not like a missionary at all. But Brand Ambassadors do help spread the good word of Mutual! You help us promote Mutual and MutualUp on social media. You should encourage good and healthy dating habits, both on and off the app. As well as, be an advocate for dating safety.
What exactly does that look like? Ultimately, it’s up to you, but Brand Ambassadors have three main tasks: create posts on your own social media accounts, create posts for Mutual’s social media accounts, and encourage people to download and use the app. There are also opportunities to do creative projects, such as planning events, directing a short film, writing content for our blog, etc. (The creative projects aren’t required, but we’re always more than happy to hear about your ideas for promoting Mutual. Tell us about your idea and we’ll see if we can help support your project.)
Who can be a Brand Ambassador?
Anyone who loves Mutual, currently uses the app, and is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is welcome to apply to become a Brand Ambassador! Part of what makes Mutual so great is that it brings together people from all different walks of life and parts of the world. So regardless of where you live, what language your speak, or what your previous Brand Ambassador experience is, if you’re interested in being a Brand Ambassador, we encourage you to apply!
Not sure if you would enjoy brand ambassadorship? Here are some things we’ve found that might make you more likely to enjoy being a Brand Ambassador. Keep in mind that these things are NOT requirements by any means, but they may help make your time as an ambassador more enjoyable.
- You’re comfortable with creating social media content. Whether this is curated content for a coordinated feed, fun updates about your life, or just funny memes and videos, if you enjoy creating social media content, you’ll probably enjoy being a Brand Ambassador. Most Brand Ambassador assignments revolve around social media, so familiarity with social media channels, content creation, and analytics can be helpful. (But if you aren’t familiar with that, don’t worry! We’re happy to help.)
- You have previous brand ambassador experience. Have you been a brand ambassador before? Did you enjoy it? If so, chances are, you’ll enjoy being a Brand Ambassador for Mutual! Never been a brand ambassador before? That’s okay! Do you like telling people about the things you love? Are you comfortable promoting Mutual to your followers? Perfect. We’d love to have you!
- You have a creative idea or skills you want to use to promote Mutual. Even if you don’t have a large following on social media or haven’t been a brand ambassador before, that doesn’t mean that you don’t have other skills you can use to help us promote Mutual! Are you a skilled videographer looking for an opportunity to step into your industry? Do you love planning events and want Mutual to sponsor something on your campus? The options for creative promotions are endless, so bring whatever you have to the table, and we’d love to see what you can add to Mutual.
- You genuinely enjoy using Mutual. We understand that Mutual is not for everybody. We also understand that dating apps can feel like a joke. (That is, of course, until you find your spouse. Then who’s laughing? đŸ˜‰) But if you are embarrassed to tell people that you use a dating app or aren’t sure you want people to know that you actively use Mutual, then you probably won’t enjoy promoting Mutual to your friends. We want Brand Ambassadors who genuinely love using Mutual and want to help others find their happily ever after.
What do Brand Ambassadors get?
Brand Ambassadors get awesome perks, including free MutualUp, exclusive swag, and discounts for your followers. We’ll also tag and feature you on our social media channels, which will help you grow your own social media following.Â
Brand Ambassadors also have the opportunity to earn awesome rewards! Each Brand Ambassador receives a unique link to the app store that allows us to keep track of how many people download the app through your link. The more downloads you get, the more points you earn towards rewards!
Not to mention, Brand Ambassadorship is a great thing to add to your resume and portfolio. Especially if you want to apply for future ambassador opportunities with other companies or if you want to pursue a career in social media or marketing.
Looking for an internship? Brand Ambassadors who perform exceptionally well are eligible for internship opportunities with Mutual. Not every Brand Ambassador is guaranteed an internship, but if we feel that you’ve gone above and beyond in your Brand Ambassador duties, we are open to the possibility!

Becoming a Brand Ambassador is easy! Fill out the application below. Remember that this is your time to shine, so hype yourself up and tell us all the best things about you!
We rotate our brand ambassadors every month, but you are more than welcome to continue for as many months as you like. If you don’t get a response to your application right away, don’t stress. We review applications every month as well so you’ll likely hear from us within a few weeks at the most. If we like what we see on your application, we’ll email you with more information. (Keep an eye on your spam folder, just in case!)
