I actually met her before we met on mutual. I was sent home from my mission early for medical reasons and I decided to keep serving as a service missionary. My first project was at this camp is Pennsylvania where she was doing service as well. We never talked but she really liked me and managed to find me on Facebook and added me. I added her back on Facebook and didn’t make the connection to the camp. For the next year, I just knew her as the closest thing I had to a model on my Facebook. Once my mission finished, I got mutual and when looking at the “who liked you” section on mutual, I recognized the blurry photo as her profile photo from Facebook. I changed all my settings to match her age and where she was at and added her and we instantly started texting
[On our first date] we went to the movies to watch some random movie and it was awkward but that changed once the movie finished. We went to go eat and talked for hours. After that, we were both hooked
We became inseparable after that first date. We lived an hour and a half away from each other but I still saw her every single day for 4 months until I had to move across the country to go to BYUI for school. We did long distance for 4 months and she followed me out and that’s where our relationship exploded into something amazing. We relied on each other for everything and we got closer every single day. Every day has only gotten better and some way some how, I find a way to love her more and more. We got married february 20th, 2026, about a year and a half after our first date, and I couldn’t be more happy
